Exclamation Very Weird Problem Need Help!

I have installed everything into my new case and nothing works, then I move my motherboard, GPU, RAM, CPU and PSU into my old case and connect the power button from my new case and it works.

But if I move the motherboard and everything else into my new case and connect all of the wires exactly the same way as before in my new case, it won't work!

Everything is the same from the new case to the old one.

    Any help please?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Anything shorting out?
You 100% sure have things connected the right way around?
Does the motherboard have any lights that should come on?
    Is the PSU turned on?
Double and tripple check every connection.
Take everything out and reseat it all.

If its working in one case and not the other, then it must be a connection issue.

Re: Very Weird Problem Need Help!

Yes, everything is working, I have everything running right now with the CD drive, and HDD in my new case, and everything else in my old case, I am using the power button from my new case and running the wire into my old case.

I have checked, checked and checked again every connection but for some reason in my new case it just won't power up.

Turn the power switch connector upside down and make sure its connected too the correct pins.

Why would that make a difference? The power switch is working fine according to the OP?

Re: Very Weird Problem Need Help!

I'm not entirely sure how it works, but some cases have "Intrusion Detection", although I think this usually means they will start up, but then beep at you until you close the case, I have a clue about how this works, or whether it could be your problem, but it has affected me when transfering into new cases before, so I thought I'd mention it.

I misread question, i thought he meant everything was running fine in old case but not new one and maybe them gimpy power connectors were giving him problems

Why are you assembling it in the old and the new case, rather than just putting it together on the motherboard box or something?

I tried moving everything into the new case and it didnt work, so i put everything back into the old case just to test it and it works. Then to test if it was the power switch on the new case causing problems i connected the new case's power button to the mobo while it was in the old case, it worked. but then if i moved it back into the new case it won't power on.
