just bought the ocuk core I5 overclocked bundle and i'm just experimenting with it.
i have a pair of ati 4870's at the mo, and i have a corsair HX620 PSU.
will that be able to run my overclocked core I5, and a pair of 4870's??

i think you should be fine with that ,people tend to think they need more power than they do in reallity ,its the stability of the psu thats more important
620W should be sufficient for your rig, yeah - I doubt you'll manage to pull much more than 400W at full load. The main thing to look for is load on each 12V rail, if the PSU has several - try to work out how to balance the power draw across them...
so what would be the best config??
each card has 2x6pin power connectors, and the corsair has 2 PCI-E power sockets?
use one of the dedicated sockets on each card, and then use a twin molex>psi-e power for the other socket?
i dont think it will matter ,
i think that psu just has one 12v rail ,but if it has more id put the dedicated plugs to one card one the molex to the other
