Bit of help needed please

Hi

I'm putting together a final spec for a new system. Main uses will be gaming and Photoshop (web/graphic designer)

I was lucky enough to get a Gtx 295 on the cheap or I'd probably have gone for less

The board I'm looking at is the Asus P6T SE

My concern though is that it doesn't support SLI only crossfire - does mean the 295 won't work or only one gpu on it would function ?.

Sorry if that's a bit of a daft question!

For memory, I was looking at

12GB DDR3 1600mhz (perhaps a little overkill but I work with very large Photoshop files) with numerous other applications open

It will work fine but in the future say you wanted to run dual GTX 295 in SLI you wouldn't be able to do so.

Memory looks fine I guess although you'd probably want to try running it at lower speeds with lower latencies. You could probably get a better deal if you went for a pair of 3x2GB though instead of 6x2GB.

I'll go for that board then as I can't see me having a need for 2 295's, hopefully this system should be ample to handle everything for a fair while
