Core i3 with H55 chipset review!

It seems to have a decent performance increase over the E7000 series dual cores:

    http://en.inpai.com.cn/doc/enshowcon...64&pageid=6359

The IGP also seems much faster than the G45 too although overall platform power consumption seems to have increased.

I thought platform power consumption was suppose to decrease? :/

Re: Core i3 with H55 chipset review!

Same here, think il wait for a few more reviews first - i suppose the argument could be that performance per watt has increased though.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Re: Core i3 with H55 chipset review!

more power, more heat, can beat the intel GMA . . . not looking good.

The real question is how would it do vs a e7400 on a nvidia 9200 motherboard?

Here is a comparison of the Core i3 with an Athlon II X3 435 and a 785G based motherboard:

Re: Core i3 with H55 chipset review!

The Athlon II X4 620 looks to be competitive with the 2.93GHZ Core i3 530 and cheaper too:

    http://en.inpai.com.cn/doc/enshowcon...75&pageid=6387

    Edit!!

The Core i3 530 is available for pre-order from CCL:
