    cheap soundcard for windows 7

    so MSI seemed to have stopped supporting / providing my mobo with vista or win 7 drivers for audio

    so need a cheap soundcard

    any recommendations?

    seems as if the audigy 2 and 4 series support win 7 so looking at those

    I have the Audigy4 on Win7.
    Works, but never use any creative drivers.

    If you use the ones Windows update give + increase the sample quality = Audio is fine.
    As soon as you install creative drivers - Crackling & other issues :/
    (Tried over several builds, using drivers made by whoever that 'unlocks' parts of the drivers/card too/only creatives/other 3rd party ones)

    I'd get either a non-creative or the top of the range creative. Comparing price, the wee Asus ones seem to be decent.
