    100% GPU Fan Problem

Hey guys. I don't really expect a reply here over christmas, but i'll throw up a thread anyway.

    The Scenario:

I've had a problem when powering down my computer, the GPU (Geforce 275 896MB) just powers at 100% fan, and the computer doesn't post.

Recently I upgraded my CPU, Motherboard, and It 100% Fan's for like, 10-15seconds, then posts.

I've included a screenshot of my setup. As you can see i've got a nice overclock that is running stable in Games, with load temps of 50c. I have the Corsair H50.

My Bios settings that i've set manually are: Multiplier 18x, CPU Voltage, 1.400v, NB Voltage 1.20, (It goes red text when 1.30v), DRAM 1.9v, everything else Auto or stock.

Today I switched my computer on and it 100% fan'd for ages, and didnt work. I only fixed it by taking on the GPU, and then resetting my BIOS.

How can I fix this annoying problem? Is it my graphics card? It did the same exact thing on my last board.

Merry Christmas and if your bored, help!!

Logic would suggest yes. Tried flashing the BIOS for the GFX card? Else there might be a minor fault with it. It's not a driver issue as it hasn't reached that stage in the boot sequence.

Hmm, I haven't flashed the BIOS or even thought about doing it.. you got any decent utilities to show my latest bios version or flash it?

Where would I download the latest BIOS? :/

    Re: 100% GPU Fan Problem

First stop should be the manufacturer's (or re-branded party) website. There's usually a Readme.txt file attached or notes on how to do it on the site. I know a BIOS update was released for the 5970's to allow manual fan control for instance. Usually just minor things but you never know.

    Re: 100% GPU Fan Problem

This is a total bummer. As far as I understand, the fan checks it can run at 100%, and if there's a problem with the card, it doesn't boot.

I think i may have ANOTHER faulty item from eBuyer. :/
