Memory to Match AMD Phenom II X4 955be

    Hi guys,

Going to be buying the above processor, was wondering what memory to match it with, a 6GB slightly slower memory, or 4GB or slightly faster memory. I will be overclocking eventually but certainly not initially.

If both are the same price which would you go for?

    6GB GeIL DDR3 PC3-10660 1333MHz Value Series Triple Channel kit (9-9-9-24)

    4GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz Ripjaw Series (7-8-7-24)

    Cheers

The ripjaws every time. 6GB is pointless for normal people or even hardcore gamers. Unless you do a lot of media editing?
EDIT: Incidentally I picked up a really quick GeiL kit from OCUK which are rated at 2133mhz for about £70. I'm gonna run them at 1600mhz at cas 7

The Phenom II runs RAM in dual channel so the OP needs to either have two or four DIMMS.
