A friend at work has asked if you can connect a laptop wirelessly to a phone line for 56k dialup. Any ideas? Only thing I could think of would be ICS using a old PC, but he would prefer a simpler solution.
Cheers

Yes it can be done but some kits don't let you do 56k, give me a few minutes to do a search...
edit1: There's this at dabs, you'd need a bluetooth dongle on the lappy: http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.htm?quicklinx=31HB

Yes you can, BT do one which used to be sold at Misco a few months ago. USB dongle on the lappy, and a base usint which actually deals with the dialling.
Cheers peeps, will go to work on Monday and look very clever.
Think Avaya make a wireless gateway with a 56k modem built in. But it's gonna cost a lot.
Wireless access point, then ethernet to 56k router, will probably be cheaper, but more fiddly.
Depends on how much cash this guy wants to spend vs how much computer knowledge he has.
