    Gigabyte MA770T-UDP3 Power Connections

    Hey,

My new motherboard arrived above, the motherboard has a 2x12v connection on it.

My PSU a Hiper 530w Modular only has a 4 pin connector on it.

I have read that it will run off the 4 pin one, is this likely to cause any damage?

Is it essential to have the 8 pin connector?

    Thanks

Any CPU that is 125W+ should (even someone will say wrong) an 8 pin connector any thing below that (as long as your not OC too must) will be fine with 4 pin connector.
