    Dual DVB-T PCI-e recommendations

I've got a Compro (DVB-T200) and no more PCI slots available. I do however have 2 x PCI-e available.
Now running on Windows 7 x64 - hibernate, resume record etc works a treat but as I've only got a single tuner available I can't record overlapping programs.

I'm thinking that I may as well get a dual tuner card rather than a single...
Compro do a few, Blackgold don't seem to be shipping at the moment. KWorld might be worth a look on cost but I am a bit concerned by some negative posts around the web.

Has anyone got any recommendations (preferable from experience)?

Nothing by Pinnacle, got a PCIe one and it doesn't get a signal where as my Hauppauge Nova-T 500 gets a great signal on the same cable.

    Thanks.
If anyone can chip in with what to avoid as well that'd be great.

    Re: Dual DVB-T PCI-e recommendations

Unless you really want 3 tuners, I would have a think about replacing your Compro with a PEAK DVB-T DIGITAL DUAL TV TUNER PCI.

I've heard some great things about it from others on the MediaPortal forums.

Ooooh - that's a bargain! I'm planning to use it with Win7 MC but I can't find it on the MS Logo'd Prod list though......TGB only has one thread with someone having a mare with it.

    Re: Dual DVB-T PCI-e recommendations

I've got a Hauppauge Nova T-500 here, can't remember if that's PCI or PCIe though (and I don't feel like stripping down the PVR to find out).

There's also the Nova-TD USB2 stick. Admittedly it's not PCIe, but it uses almost the same chipset as the T500, and thus works really nicely on Linux. But you're using XP x64 so that's probably not of any interest to you

Otherwise, scrap the Compro and shove a Nova T500 in there. +1 tuner, and still a single UHF connector.

Nothing wrong with Pinnacle. I have a 7010ix in my main htpc which is dual DVB-T and dual DVB-S and it's working fine with both DVB-T tuners and one of the DVB-S ones in use.

Only issue is the drivers don't work on 64-bit operating systems with 4GB of memory or more but that's not an issue for me as, whilst all my other machines are 64-bit, my htpc is 32-bit as that's all it needs really.

The 7010ix was a bargain at around £30 when I got it but they're like gold dust these days - if you see one, grab it!

    Re: Dual DVB-T PCI-e recommendations

hmmm, i wonder if that was the problem then. this was on a W7 64bit system with 8GB.

Very strange that the card appeared to work but just wouldn't find any channels. In fact thats not completely correct, I think it found one MUX, perhaps two.
