Hard drive prices over xmas

I'm fairly sure a 1tb Samsung F1 was about £55 before xmas. Now retailing at £65 on scan. Am I hallucinating, or has there been a rise? 1.5tb still at £75, which is the same.

My guess .... it reflects their buy price. I doubt Scan would increase prices otherwise, as it's too competitive a market.

And if so, why the buy price has gone up? Exchange rates? Supply v demand? Who knows.

Quote right. VAT is probably part of it, but a small part. If the drive was £55 inc VAT at 15%, by my calculation it'd be £56.20 inc VAT at 17.5%.
