The Antec has a good review from jonnyguru:

It is much cheaper than the HX850W:

He says the 7 year warranty with the Corsair is worth the £30 to him, and he'd like to reuse it in his next build (in 3 years time), and thinks it's best to aim high with the PSU, but thanks for the suggestion anyway

Im not certain us Euros still get the full 7 years (can anyone confirm?). Either way componants are getting more efficiant as they get more powerful so its unlikely his power requirements will ever go anywhere near 750W nevermind 850W.

If hes really set on the corsair then its a very good PSU and wont dissapoint but i would try and ensist that it is very very over the top even for a future few years plan!

Re: Gaming PC to last 3 Years

    Hi again,

Just an update and a question - he's already got the HAF 932, and is about to start painting it. He's looking to buy all the components soon, but the memory has gone out of stock at overclockers.

It's a real shame, since it was cheaper than most memory I can find that is actually slower.

Could you point us in the direction of some alternative memory? Would he really notice the difference between CAS 8 and CAS 9?

Re: Gaming PC to last 3 Years

I seriously doubt he'd notice any difference between CAS8/9 - i don't notice any difference between 1600MHz@ 8-8-8-24 and 1066Mhz @ 7-7-7-19. Theres some Corsair RAM on Scan's today only page you could look up - this page will change at 1/2pm tomorrow so if hes going to buy he should do it before then.

Hmmmm. That system spec looks awfully familiar.
<-- Look like good choices to me.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.
