    Budget office PC - your comments

    My dad want's a PC mainly to archive a large quantity of hand written office documents. It's taken a while but I think he is slowly coming round to the idea that computers are useful. Not too sure about the motherboard. Trying to get everything from ebuyer.

    Does your dad really want a bronze case? Maybe the black version would be better. Otherwise, a good choice...

    Get Western Digital Caviar 8Mb cache drives ( or Seagate Barracuda V 7200.7 8Mb cache drives (, not Maxtor.

    Western Digital are the best, at a price premium, Seagate are the quietest.

    That motherboard is best value for your requirements.

    I would recommend brand-name memory, such as this:
