To use three monitors one has to use DisplayPort, you can't use 2xDVI + HDMI for Eyefinity. If you want to adapt the displayport to DVI / HDMI I *believe* you need an *active* adapter (I have no idea why, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me can shed light!) which are hella expensive. I've found a few (apparently passive) adapters at ~ £25, including DP -> VGA adapters, and I guess they might work? It's a lot of money to spend if they don't, though...!

p.s. Your best bet is to read the ATI Eyefinity Webpages, it looks like there's quite a few validated passive dongles so something like this adapter may well do the trick...

Oooo that's intresting, I know a lot of people where having issues and the only garranty was an active display port adaptor.
A list like that is useful

Don't know if that adaptor will as it's not on the list, go for something on that list, or an active one (although that will cost around £80)

Here's the list of validated display port adaptors http://support.amd.com/us/eyefinity/...y-dongles.aspx

I thought so too, but if you click through the links it's hard to tell whether the "passive" dongles listed are actually passive, or if they have active components and just don't need an extra cable. I'm also willing to bet that most if not all of those adapters are not available in the UK

EDIT: not only that, but a google search on most of those munfacturers / part numbers only returns the ati compatibility page! PinnacleMicroGB seem ot have a couple of the Accell ones...

Nice to see support for VGA though - I've considered getting one of the lower powered 5series cards and running a massive multimonitor setup at home for when I'm doing web design work - I really like the idea of being able to run a couple of full screen browsers either side of my main work window

No difference between vga and dvi when it's going trough an adaptor like this.
AFAIK the main limit is that vga can only go to 1680x1050 / 1600x1200 max, so no 1080p over vga

I'm not sure if either of those woujld work - there seem to be some inconsistencies between the ati site and the accell site re: what is and isn't active. You could always give it a go, but be aware that it might not work and you might be wasting your £13...
