    CPU cooler for my Q6600

I think I've stuck with the stock intel cooler for long enough. My Q6600 seems to start running quite hot after a bit of gaming and the stock fan starts getting louder and pretty much doing my head in. So I'm looking for a decent cooler to replace it, also I want to get a couple of 120mm fans for my antec 300, help with the airflow. So what do you guys recommend? I reckon around the £30 budget for the cooler.

Was originally looking at the Xigmatek Red Scorpion cooler, but your thoughts on this or any cooler will be appreciated

Titan Fenrir. Just got it to replace my stock. Temps went down from 70 to 50-60 in a practically non ventilated case.

Re: CPU cooler for my Q6600

The Xigmatek kmac listed is probably the best you can do for under £30. It's the same as the Red Scorpion but with just a plain black fan instead of the slightly cooler transparent smoky black and orange fan with white LEDs.

Others within your budget are the Akasa Nero and Akasa Freedom.

Zalman ZM-F3s from scan seem quiet, don't know how they compare with Yate Loons though. See here: http://forums.hexus.net/chassis-syst...ans-cheap.html and http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...f3-fans-2.html

Re: CPU cooler for my Q6600

Have you used Speciatech a lot? I ordered some fans from them in Dec 09 and received them okay but if you look at their online reviewes, there are many complaints about non-resolution when things go wrong i.e. if products need to be returned for any reason

    See here: http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/w...cialtech.co.uk

They have fans and other cooling bits at reasonable prices so peoples experience with the vendor would be appreciated

Re: CPU cooler for my Q6600

Thanks guys, a lot of good options here, will take a look at them.

The Xigmatek that was suggested looks good for the money. Yate Loons seem to be the choice for the fans and cheap as well.
