I Just purchased

and put it into my new pc, but it is showing as PC2-6400 not PC2-8500, how do I change the speed?

You have to overclock it, unfortunately it seems it's not on the EPP profiles so that means you're gonna have to look on the pack for the timings and voltage settings. You then have to go into your BIOS and input those settings and then up the FSB. However, this will increase your CPU's frequency too meaning it will be overclocked so you may wanna lower the CPU multiplier in that case.
It might be hard to get into your head if you've never overclocked so I'd advise you to try search up Intel Core 2 Quad overclocking guides.
With a bit of luck you should just be able to change the memory divider in your BIOS so that the RAM starts running at 1066MHz:

So I should just be able to change one setting in the bios memory settings, for cpu-z to recognise it at the higher speeds?, Also as I have purchased the ram advertised at this higher speed, shouldn't it really work automatically?
And sorry its not for my pc spec listed, but a new one I just made (AMD X3 435 on a MSI GTM 785G board)
