Just upgraded my Radeon 9000 to a 9600 Pro and it is seriously dirty!
Farcry actually looks awesome, rather than resembling AVP2.
Gonna get a 3dmark01SE score now...
Welcome to the magical word of the mid-range GPU, my good man.
9600 cores go to insane mhz, looks nice on paper :->

If you get a customer, or an employee, who thinks he's Charles Bronson, take the butt of your gun and smash their nose in.
What is the rest of your system like? I get 11,200 wwith the specs in my sig.

Its not bad really. Was thinking of upgrading at some point, but probably not until I can get something that will do substantially better at a decent price- ie about £120! Just as much as I payed for this one.

I only get 8909 in 3DMark2001 SE, somewhat lower than Geforce 4 Ti gets, but I think my graphics card outperforms them in 3DMark2003 (2430). Only £60 as well!

"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."
True. Never tried!

Same as our gaming, but a tiny bit slower (sometimes)... and a rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish load cheaper (always).Originally Posted by Platinum

Got 10600 3d Marks now.
Amazingly I got the RAM all the way from 250mhz up to 348mhz!
The GPU is at 460mhz right now, but it's packet in next to a SCSI card so I think heat is becoming a factor. Once I rearrange and get an arctic cooler on it I think we'll get nearer 500.
I'm very please - especially considering I use dual monitors, so that incurs a bit of a hit on benchmarks.
I Just got a Gainward fx 5700 ultra golden sample and it kicks ass, good price, excellent performance. Well chuffed

dual monitors!!!!
thats why your score is os different to mine!!!
min is anywhere between 12500 aand 14000
With my old 9600 Pro clocked at about 560mhz I was getting high 13,000's
