Remote control for laptop

Have a Laptop with a IR sensor and it also has all the media buttons across the top for play back CD,video, windows media etc. would like to know if you can get a remote control that will duplicate the same functions, if so any links,

If it has a IR sensor built in isnt there one from the manufacturer?
Microsoft one will probably work, if not you could use eventghost to remap the buttons..
