Right, I've been having problems with my cooling in my PC, a lot of overheating and stuff and it's totally baffled me up until now.
I've kitted my case out with 4 of the Sharkoon Golf Ball 2000rpm's connected to a fan controller and a 140mm 600rpm from Fractal Design connected to the controller as well.
I've just taken my PC apart to check all the heatsinks and stuff, replaced all thermal grease, cleaned out every last bit of dust, looks brand new, decent cable management and the lot, only to find the culprit of the bad cooling was the Sharkoon 2000s, the marker on the edge of the fan is pointing the WRONG WAY!
They're blowing through the fan from left to right but the pointer goes the opposite way, so I've had my case set up with absolutely no intake fans and all the fan slots were blowing out, so there wasn't even an emply fan slot to suck air in due to the negative pressure.
After sorting out the problem my idle temps are about 8'C better now, and my load temps are about 15'C better. GTX275 was hitting 90'C at load, now it's getting to about 70/75 at the most.
So, I was wondering, has anyone else noticed this on their Sharkoon fans?
