Checked dodgy cable connections? Any interference from an electrical outlet? Maybe speakers are on the way out?

Use the line out at the back if you are using the headphone socket.

This may sound crazy by try unplugging your front panel audio connector from the motherboard.
Got a few pc's at work where this happens, if the front panel audio is not connected the "tape loading" style noises dissapear and will come back if you plug it back in.
I've never found out the exact reason for it, whether it's the motherboard, or the cable or the front panel pcb that's causeing it.

Can't find a line out socket, only the green headphone socket works (GD65)
They are a new set of speakers and it's not that it's louder than the music or anything but if the speakers aren't doing anything and I browse the web (this seems to increase the problem) I get annoying static.
It could be computer noise.... what O/S (7 like in ur profile?), if its realtek you should just be able to go on the realtek manager on the task bar and it shouild be under the sound volume called something like PC BEEP, or something silly like that. For me it caused major static and when i put that to zero/muted it was perfect . Or you can just right click speak icon at bottom right, click playback devices then select your one and click the levels tab then scroll down and you should find PC BEEp.

Cant find pc beep. I'm on 7 yeah, no drivers installed for mobo actually, maybe I should install some?
ok doing that now, all going to plan except for ridiculous msi control centre app which just makes a siren sound probably because of my overclock....
oh my god this is ridiculous. I am downloading drivers and it's like I can hear them being thrown at the computer
Have you tried unplugging the front audio connector yet?
