What would you change in this build?

    WOAH

Ridiculous I know, but I was looking at it, and realised I couldnt see anything to change (with an acceptably informed opinion)

    Gaming build of course!

Re: What would you change in this build?

Seriously though, i'd change the HDD to a dual platter one (unless that is a dual platter one, in which case ignore me, i've been out of the HDD loop for quite some time ) WD 640 AAKs perhaps?

I'd probably swap the crucial SSD over to an SLC one of a lower capacity.

And that would be about it really.

Personally i would change the case to a Lian Li or Silverstone Tiemjin, but that is just personal preference

Re: What would you change in this build?

I'd switch the Crucial SSD to an Intel, I know others are catching up but I still think it's the best SSD at the moment.

For all out speed, I'd also be tempted by 3x40gb Intels in Raid0, or 2x80gb Intels, although no trim in raid.

Second drive, I would probably get a samsung F3

Re: What would you change in this build?

    The supplier.

    Ditch the SSD.

Buy the CPU and Mobo seperately and overclock myself.

Buy one 5970 and see how it performed. Probably wouldn't need another!

    Not much really.

    Cheers

    Paul

Re: What would you change in this build?

I agree buy only 1 5970 and see how you get on and buy a 1TB samsung F3 drive instead of the 500 as you will fill it up faster than you think you will.

If you really have to spend all your money buy a decent water cooling setup to go with the case, that shoudl set you back £200+ especially if you buy the block for the 5970

Re: What would you change in this build?

Ok cool. Thanks for the changes guys.

I would change the etailer but these frigglhoppers, cant shake them!
The case is indeed personal preference but hes open to ideas.
    HDD + SSD noted.
Soundcard would be a good idea, Asus Xonar D2X perhaps.

As for the watercooling, Ive never put it together, nor has he, so Im looking blindly. Need to have a search on this forum for some info/advice.

If that case is a consideration, for that amount of money I'd rather go for something from these guys:
    WINDy http://www-online.jp/

They make some quality cases, although some of it is ridiculous also. But for crazy money I'd rather have a WINDy.

Re: What would you change in this build?

Oh yes WinDy cases are lovely but only available to the japanese home market, so unless you know someone who lives in japan and is willing to buy it and ship it too you you can forgetting one.

OOOOOOoooooo they are going to start shipping world wide in march
