    question about memory

    whould these be fine for a Asus M4A785TD-V EVO 785G Socket AM3

    Yes they would be totally fine, however it's been shown that AMD systems prefer tighter timings at lower speeds but of course the real world performance will be hardly visible. Some motherboards may not like 1600mhz memory too but I've had a Asus M4A79XTD-Evo and it ran 1600mhz on CL7 fine.

    To be honest you could almost get any DDR3 dual channel kit for an AM3 system and it will work fine. However you'll have to set the timings and speed yourself if you were to get the most out of them.

    thinking of getting amd 550 be and seeing if i can unlock the cores.

    Good luck with that! Personally I had a Phenom II 550 BE and unlocked it on the M4A79XTD-Evo and used memory smilar to that. (OCZ Reapers at 1600mhz CL7 1.65V instead though)

    I have a e7300 sealed but going to sell that, wonder how much i can get for it?
