    Fan controllers

I'm in the market for a fan controller but there seems to be quite a range to choose from so I thought I'd check out people's opinions here. Basically I'm looking for one that will fit in a 5.25" bay that control 5 fans (4 isn't too bad, 5 is most preferable. That's 3 on the radiator and 2 case fans.) Budget is about £25, better is less but I would like it to at least look half way presentable! I had my eye on the NZXT Sentry over at Chilled PC and Scan has them too but they're out of stock. I've fired off an email asking when they'll be back, but in the mean time are there any preferences amongst other Hexites?

    Thanks,
    Michael

The important ones are Yate Loons and all have the 3 pin little plug thing.

    Re: Fan controllers

For a manual fan controller I'd look at the Zalman ZM-MFC1
    http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/cust...productid=4149
    Or Scythe Kaze Master
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Scyth...ntroller-Black

For a controller that also has automatic control I'd look at the NZXT Sentry 2
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/NZXT-...Controller-525
    Or
Aerocool EN55338 Touch 1000 (while it can controll 4 fans and monitor 4 temps, I'm not sure if it can auto adjust fans)
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Aeroc...pin-connectors

That one looks ideal, and it also happens to be the cheapest

    Re: Fan controllers

I have the Zalman ZM-MFC1 running 16 fans (10 of these are YateLoons) without any problems.
Very good controller. Runs blue when you are at low rpm and changes red when increased.

    I have a Zalman ZM-MFC1 as well it's a nice unit.

Although it costs more the Scythe one also has 4 temp monitors, they are all displayed on an LCD screen

I've had a Zalman ZM-MFC1, and it worked very well with 8 fans running from 3pin splitters.

I use the nzxt sentry 2, really happy with it. Can be used either manual or auto, controls up to 5 fans, and a rather handy feature is being able to turn the display off.

When you say it runs auto, does it auto adjust the speed of the fans depending on the temperature of the relative sensor?
