hi guys looking to buy my first pc this january and dont know much so just wanted a little help on it
i will be wanting to spend around £550 max which will have to include monitor os. will be using it for searching the net playing a few game e.g footy manager and downloading wirlessly.

Personally I'd go for this Digimate 22" monitor.

But that's becuase I really don't much like 16x9 monitors and I value vertical pixels over horisiontal for most computer work.
If you have a LCD TV, check the connectors, you may have a dvi, d-sub or hdmi conector in which case you could hook your pc up to that instead.
The monitor which Pob255 suggested also has DVI too.

The main disadvantage of this PSU is it only has a pair of 6 pin PCI-E power connectors which means it cannot power a graphics card like an HD4890 without an adaptor cable.
If this is not a concern the modular cables will make for a neater cable arrangement in the case.

The HD4670 GDDR3 tends to be quicker than the GT240 GDDR3.
