    SATA Optical Drive (shallow depth)

    All,

I have an Antec Mini-P180 case and I'd like to install an optical drive in the uppermost drive bay. Due to the large exhaust fan fitted in the roof of the case my choice of drives is limited to those which aren't too deep. See HERE and you'll see my point.

Can anyone recommend a SATA Optical Drive which isn't too deep? Models I know others have installed in similar builds are as follows but I've not been able to source any on my preferred etailer sites:

    Samsung SH-S203D 20x DVD±RW SATA

    Sony/NEC Optiarc AD-719S SATA

    Help!!

Have a look at this one. That site has others too but i think the optiarc models are decent if the full sized ones are anything to go by...

    Edit!!
Oops having looked at your pic you want length reduced not height

Thanks, I don't need the slimline one. Just one that isn't too deep.

This drive whilst being slimline is also shallow (like Hal) - 138mm It is external but with ingenuity can be mounted internally

A number of Lite-ons are actually shorter than normal - they are noisy though although I don't know about the one in the link

    This ones 170mm
