    Question memory motherboard compatibility

    hi all

im about to build a new pc and want to get things just right. with the budget i have given my self i have chosen to go down the phenom route with the 955be and match it up with an asus m4a79t deluxe motherboard which by the little research i have done is pretty standard choices.

what i do know is that- ill be purchasing a 5770hd ati card and a ssd hard drive paired with 1t hard drive

advice i need is what is the best sub 130pound memory for the motherboard cpu combo. im looking for a ddr3-1600 2x2gig that works perfect with the board, i have been to several configuraters but they seem to either have details of memory which i cannot get hold of (usa) or the info is not upto date.

please please help me- especially if you already have a similar setup (955be with m4a79t d) or thinking of having a similar setup or if you know about this already.

    Welcome to Hexus!

I'm sure someone may be able to help you, but multiple posting across the forum isn't really a good idea. I have deleted the duplicates for you.

    Re: memory motherboard compatibility

As you noted, this is a dual channel setup, so any pair of good quality DDR3 RAM will do. 4GB is typically recommended, and there usually isn't any noticable performance gains above 1600Hz - so this seems to be ideal. Corsair RAMs are known to be good quality, and they have a lifetime warranty.

http://www.scan.co.uk/shops/corsair/...icmp=memconfig - would be rather useful.

(And unless I have the information incorrect - it seems to point to: LN22021 - which happens to be found at the top of the Corsair offer on TodayOnly at the moment...)

    Re: memory motherboard compatibility

Well I'm using the OCZ Reaper 1.65V ones that are rated for 1866Mhz and they pretty much work fine.
