    underclock it?

I had a p3 450 and replaced it with a p3 1GHz... didn't post at full speed, so I underclocked it and it ran fine: it was still much faster than the original.

Not sure how I'd go about that. The FSB on the CPU I got was 133, the board's only up to 83. Switching on showed absolutely nothing so no option to mess with any settings.

Anyway, £5 on ebay for a 'board which might work on its way..

    Amen. All other posts redundant.

It did make me laugh though. And to continue your spirit of adventure, I'm going to fill my brake cables with cement. Right after I've wired this roast chicken to the mains.

It's not over yet! I have yet to stuff this random processor into another random 'board, pull out all the fans and see what happens. Might get myself a chicken to roast on it, wiring into the mains sounds like fun - is it beak to live or neutral?

    FFS, you noob.

    What a stupid question.

LEFT FOOT to live, RIGHT FOOT to neutral, BEAK to earth.
