apparently on Scan the black Fractal comes with 1 case fan whilst the other 2 colours come with 2 case fans pre fitted. Is this correct?
I got 2 fans with my black R2 which i purchased from scan.

    Re: Cases ~£70 mark

I am also about to order the R2 as I am a fan of minimalist looking cases. I was planning on getting at least two additional Fractal Design case fans. Can anyone give me some advice on whether two is sufficient (overclocked i7 920) and where to run them?
    thks

Personally I'd get one additional 120mm for the front and two additional 140mm for the top

I did actually, and the sole thing that put me off was that I don't like the aesthetics of the case! The bars on the top/bottom I don't think are particularly appealing and I'd rather have no side window, too. I did seriously consider it, though!

I've got the black Fractal on order from Scan + a 140mm top fan + I'll recycle my CPU cooler 120mm fan and put that in the front of the Fractal, too. I also opted for a 30cm 8 pin extension cable because I really doubt my current one is long enough.

    Re: Cases ~£70 mark

Case arrived today and first impressions are very good Only issue is the front door will get in the way of my very recently bought fan controller. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do, including any flat fronted fan controllers for around the £20 mark?

    What fan controller is it?

Have you actually tried fitting it? granted I don't have the fractal design case however on my antec p180 there's enough room for my zalman ZM-MFC1 Plus even after I put sound damping material on the inside of the door.

    A bit over at £26 http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/NZXT-...Controller-525

Mine is the same is yours and the front door closes what appears to be flush with the front of the case so definitely no knobs I think!

I think I'll go for the one you linked to there as it actually seems to be the only one without any knobs on ChilledPC (need to pick up some screws, too whilst I'm there).
