Swapping LCD power plug?

Got a laptop here with a smashed LCD screen of part number B141XG09. I've got another LCD of exactly the same dimensions but the problem is that the power plug that goes from the LCD to the inverter is different.

Previously I've only ever seen the bottom small one before, but this broken screen has the top one (the big one).

On ebay a replacement LCD with part number B141XG09 as well (albeit from a different laptop) has the small power plug. This makes me think I can switch the plug on my spare LCD from a small to a big one and it will work ok.

what does everyone think? Just wanted to make sure there were no major problems with voltages or etc (shouldn't be as the same screen comes with both connectors).

Anyone have any advice on the best way of doing this?
I'll probly just give it a go anyway as I can't find anything on the internet on this, so if I make the mistake others hopefully shouldnt!

its the same voltage, i have done it dozens of times :)

chop the wrong one and solder on the right one. best bets to use a bit of heatshrink as it will stick to your bare wires and never slip off like insulation tape will once warm.

couldn't find anything about doing it on the internet so wasn't sure whether that meant it was definitely not possible. I'll get it done today.
