As the name suggests, it's based on Intel's G43 chipset.

It would be nice if Zotac released a mini ITX 785G based motherboard with a 16X PCI-E slot.
Given the rumours of Mini ITX based upon H55/57 chipset due for launch early next year why would you still be launching 755 socket boards?
Well, you could go with the J&W MINIX 785G, it appeared on their website a couple weeks ago.

The slot still runs at 4X electrical though:

The number just don't add up.....
The Mobo's cost roughly the same (compare Zotac 9300 and DFI p55-T36 for example), a decent Quad core 755 chip set's you in about £150+ and you can buy the Xeon x3440 LGA1156 chip for about the same (and it's a hyperthreader so in effect OctoProc rather then QuadProc). 4GB of DDR3 cost about £10 more then DDR2. OK You need to add a GPU to the P55-T36 but you won't to the H55/57 as they have an IGP.
The price difference may be 20% or so but as we're only talking about £30-£40 total difference I think 755 Mini ITX's days are numbered. Now if Intel start dropping the price of 755 processors early next year to make them a 'mid range/mid price' solution the numbers may make sense but I suspect most people would pay the extra £30 if they in effect get a further quad processor in their PC.
pinocchio - I take your point, but I was actually factoring the cost of a dual-core system as Clarkdale is also dual-core, so to make a sensible comparison, a Zotac 9300 + a cheap cpu like the E3200 will probably be cheaper than H55/57 + Clarkdale. But you are right for a quad-core setup, a Zotac 9300 + C2Q doesn't make sense compared to the DFI P55-T36.
Will the on board gfx be better than the stock zotac 9300-itx?
Tbh, I'm pretty happy with my zotac 9300 itx, but I do yearn for a bit more graphical power.
I've OC'd the gpu to 9400 speeds, but it's still not great.
I have it all running on a 120w PSU (which is part of my In-win case), so adding a gfx card isn't really an option.
There is a 160w PSU on the In-win website that I could replace the 120w one with, but I've not seen anywhere at all that stocks it.
Well I was never expecting to run Crysis or anything, but it runs Kings Bounty fairly well and I think BF2142 runs acceptably, so I'll survive.
Need some new RAM though, I got a couple of generic unpaired DDR2 sticks in atm and they don't like each other very much! Runs at PC5300, even though each stick runs at PC6400 on it's own!
Was hoping the prices would've come down a little by now, but there's no sign of that just yet
