Will my current CPU cooler be enough?

Heyas.

Installed currently I have an AMD X2 4400+ AM2 with it's stock heatsink and fan, I'm wondering will this HSF be able to support an X2 6000+ chip? If not I'd be looking for the cheapest and easiest (Clip on design) alternate cooler. I'm having trouble finding one.

you should be fine as long as your are not overclocking but if you are looking for a cheap aftermarket cooler AC Freezer 64 Pro

I like the easy installation, shame some of the intel ones aren't so easy.

yeah I had my first go of pushpins the other week and I swear I really threw it out of the window, never again its clip-on or bolt-on from now on

I've got to add if you are buying a third party cooler; at £18 I would recomend the hyper 212 over the freezer64. Postage is free at Play too.

I'd check to see if your case is wide enough first.

@OP Does your current cooler have heatpipes in it or is it just a block of aluminium?
