    Printer (Multifunction)

I did a little bit of searching and couldn't really come up with a perfect answer. I need a printer, mainly for document printing but there will be some colour stuff now and again, scanning/copying functions would be good too so I'm looking at a multifunction. As cheap as possible in terms of running costs/inks preferably, I don't need anything particularly premium.

Was looking into canon mp6xx range on the basis of some threads on here, but the mp610 (seems to be a favourite due to the inks) is going for about as much on the canon ebay outlet as when it was a current gen printer new!

Any advice much appreciated, thanks guys.

    Re: Printer (Multifunction)

Anyone? (sorry I know it hasn't been that long at all, but I'm getting eyestrain reading so many journal articles on my computer)

    What about something like this:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Epson-SX515W...6790779&sr=1-6

I have no experience of Epsons at all.

I have no need of wireless really btw, but I presume it's more or less standard in most decent multifunctions these days?

What about the HP J4680. I must admit I dont have any personal experience with it, but the auto document feeder might be useful depending on what you may be scanning. The single colour cartridge probably drop the colour efficiency below the epson though, but i guess the relevance of that depends on how much colour printing you will be doing.

    Re: Printer (Multifunction)

we use the canon mp270's and 290's at work and they are great. i've got an mp540 at home which has seperate ink tanks and the quality is superb! they are slightly more expensive canon but they quality seems far superior over my old hps!
