    Unhappy gigabyt k8vt800 pro +amd 64 3000

    i have a Gigabyte k8vt800 pro with a amd 64 3000 from a laptop the
    multiplier is unlocked on this chip but the board defaults to 4x giving
    me only 804mhz i have tried mailing gigabyte but no responce after 2
    weeks i have upgraded and down graded bios to try and rectify no good can
    you offer any explination or a motherboard that i can purchase to get my
    chip running at least 8 - 10 times multipier

    I believe that you have to press control-F1 in the bios of Gigabyte boards to access stuff like multiplier adjustments. Give that a try, if you haven't already. Alternatively, try using Clockgen to change the multiplier from Windows.

    yep tried that one "control+f1" but no option to change the multiplier clock gen seems to work but locks system up at about 7.5x cheers any way..Does any one know anything about the A-open k86-L on this site (has anyone used one yet) any advise gratefull..
