Cheap notebook

Hi am looking for a cheap as in less than £200 notebook , just want it to show folks photos on , anyone know whats best weres best to buy from ??

Are you talking of having something laptop aize with a 15 inch screen or are you thinking smaller like a Netbook with a 10.1 inch screen ?

For showing people photos I'd say that a Laptop with a 15 inch screen would be miles better than a Netbook for obvious reasons like higher screen resolution.

At the top end of your budget in a Netbook you'd be looking at something like this

Thankfully has XP Home on it, unlike its sister HP variant which comes loaded with Windows 7 starter edition which is awful. All netbooks are pretty much the same spec these days using the Atom N270 CPU. I have seen some around using the N450 CPU but am not sure what the difference is, the clock speeds on each seemed to be around about the same.

Sorry, hate to disagree with your first post here on Hexus (so welcome, by the way) but that isnt a very productive post to the original request.
You are not going to buy a new Dell for that price, given that the request is for 11" and above. Dell do do an 'outlet' service where they sell cheaper either refurbished, or scratched etc laptops, but these are all ex VAT and delivery, so end up not always being the bargain they might seem.

But at £255 new, they are over budget, plsu they use the Atom Z520 CPU, which is like a regular 1.6 Ghz Atom but runs slower at 1.2 Ghz (yuk!!!).

Realistically, you're looking for a 2nd hand machine, ebay and the like. Plenty of P3 laptops, even Centrino machines etc for your budget.
Bigpockets do a good range, i've personally bought from them in the past too.

Edit: Having looked through the list myself, and being careful to avoid the "mobile" P4 chips (seriously!), i think that this one stands out as a bit of a bargain, will be fairly quick-feeling, whilst remaining reasonably portable:
