    Zero B.S. opinion on these screens

    As you all know, my love of IL-2 and Windows Moviemaker is all consuming

    And my 15" LCD NEC Mitsu screen aint big enough

    So... I'm thinking 19" TFT, cos they're cheapish now, and I wanna a BIG 'UN

    Sound NOT essiential, but I LOVE USB Hubs in Monitors bases.....and can't find my perfect partner

    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=55183

    and

    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=45473

    both seem pretty damn fine...BUT can't see USB hubs on them

    Except for the odd Raven Shield ANti terrorism, my gaming aint fast.......well...my FW 190 does 700 kph but the frame rate aint there

    What should I get people?

    From some (minor) personal experience I'd say that Samsung and NEC / Mitsu make good screens (most machines at work have been upgraded to either a 21" Samsung or a 19" NEC and of course I had to see how good / bad games and such looked on them). I'm living with a Sony screen at the moment (which work also paid for) and though it's good if it was my cash I'd go with a Samsung - good quality but not as expensive as an NEC or Sony...

    Does it have to be TFT? Have a look for the LaCie that is in my sig, it is an absolute beaut if you can get one of the older ones second hand, has mac connectors and a USB hub and a light screen and a truecolour calibrator and is a pro gfx designer jobbie and an absolute dream of a machine.

    One more quick thought - do you have space for a good CRT (for games) and just keep the TFT for office / web, etc? Obviously a lot cheaper than getting a bigger LCD...

    Or if you can stretch to it how about 2 of these side by side:

    Edit: Scratch that - looks like they don't have DVI

    Out of the two quoted the AG Neovo one looks the best (it both looks better in terms of design and has better reviews IMO)

    Hi Zak,

    Was browsing ebay and came across thus which seems to fit your requirments including USB hub.

    Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
    Enwrought with golden and silver light,
    The blue and the dim and the dark cloths

    But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
    I have spread my dreams under your feet;
    Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

    Actually m8 thinking about it you can compensate by reducing the AA a little, as you'll get less jaggies on a bigger screen. One guy on simhq runs it on on a 21" screen and uses NO AA - no jaggies
