    ASUS A7N8X Deluxe power problem

    hi there

    im posting on behalf of a m8 whos tried booting his comp this morning after its ran fine for months but suddenly it wont power up,,theres a green light on the motherboard lit up but no fans or nothin run after the power buttons pressed.

    his spec is as follows

    ASUS A7N8X Deluxe
    amd xp2600
    ati radeon 9800pro
    512mb ddr333
    400wat psu

    any help would be greatly apreciated please as hes in despair.

    this happened to me not long ago
    my board somehow decided that after months of using the same ram
    it didnt like it anymore !!!
    tell him to try taking his ram out and trying it in different slots and maybe lend a stick
    as well to try
    it could be his psu that has gone as well tho
