    Creative X-Fi in Windows 7

    Hello,

I have a Creative X-Fi Elite pro sound card, and have recently installed Windows 7.

To my disappointment however, it seems half the applications designed for the card are not available for Windows 7 on Creative's website.

Is there any way I can download these versions of these applications that are supported in W7?

Also, I've read before about the whole crap driver fiasco and the "Daniel K" drivers which helped fix some problems, but what exactly is missing when using the standard W7 drivers? Will I experience lower sound quality?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Which apps are you thinking of? I get Console to work, and haven't come across anything else which caused problems.

i tried the windows drivers, then the creative ones. now i use danny K's and have never looked back !

the creative ones used to throw out the 5,1 every speaker would randomly shift to the right mid game making it sound wierd, never had that since the DK ones.
