going to buy a laptop for video editing, are these top 3 ok?

    Hey all,

New here, heard you alot of good things about the forum, really hope some of you can help. Want to buy a laptop for video editing,

I've come across a few laptops that I think would be good for video editing. Are these laptops over kill...? Want to run things such as Power Director 8, or Final Cut. (would post links but I'm blocked from doing so... even though I have made over 5 posts...

    MSI-GT640

    Apple Macbook Pro

    All help appreciated

choose your software then your hardware - you don't see to have done that.

I use Sony Vegas, professionally, so can't help you on the software you're using.

    Hi

    The software is Powerdirector 8.0

Now i'm trying to decide on hardware. I'd prefer an Nvidia gpu but radeon seems to fit my price bracket best.

i'm concerned that Radeon cards are not so good for editing in avchd - any advice???

    Thanks

    Davongs
