    Hardware Review Sites?

What do you read? I know Hexus is good for graphics card reviews, but what about things like motherboards and CPUs that aren't covered so extensively on here? Somewhere where they review enough of the things to do meaningful comparison between different options within a particular chipset for example.

I've been reading Tom's Hardware for a while, but it just gets exponentially worse year on year, and the articles on the "British" version of the site are just duplicated versions of the American ones, still with dollars and US-only competitions .

Any recommendations? A British focussed site would be nice, but the main things I'm looking for are decent, well-written reviews.

    Re: Hardware Review Sites?

I tend to use Tech Power up, Hexus and a few others as link aggregagtors. But, off the top of my head, excluding Hexus, Hardware Canucks, Hard OCP, The Register, Dans Data etc
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

    Re: Hardware Review Sites?

I like techpowerup for GPUs. You get to see nudie cards.

xbitlabs have some intersting stuff. Anandtech. I think the reviews are geared to what I'm thinking of buying rather than a aparticular site.

Got to add frostytech for coolers. I find their methodology to be quite sound.

I would look at Hardware Secrets and JonnyGuru for PSU reviews.

Frostytech looks like a great cooler site. Looking for a 1156 cooler myself, will check them out!

    Re: Hardware Review Sites?

+1 for HardOCP and also Guru3D - both of these for GPU reviews. Not always for the well written copy, but they have a wide range of benchmarks and graphs which cover frames in games, benches, overclocking, temps etc.

Stay away from the forums (You have hexus for that ) but always my stop for GPU-related-goodness

    Re: Hardware Review Sites?

Yeah I've got a couple of specific ones, Jonny Guru is excellent for PSUs as said before, but Bit-Tech does look good at the moment.

I'm going to give it a runthrough for a couple of weeks, see how it stacks up to Tom's in terms of reviews.

    Re: Hardware Review Sites?

TrustedReviews for all things multimedia. Or, maybe, everything excluding hardware (components), they aren't doing much of that. AND, they're British.

XbitLabs for coolers (do many of those), and I like them in general.
