    Definitely is. This might change a few minds of people thinking of going for larger drives (e.g. 160GB Intel). Can't remember all the pros and cons off the top of my head though.

    2x 80GB Intels = 1x 160GB Intel in price..
    But I'm almost certain that the 2x 80 would be a lot faster!

    Yup, excellent news. Definitely needed to happen for SSDs to keep in the ascendency, hopefully sooner rather than later we'll lose the Intel chipset limitation as well.

    Hats off to Intel on this one - I don't think any of the other SSD company has TRIM working in RAID (*semi expects to be corrected*)

    Fairly sure you're right there, that's what I thought. Not surprised that Intel were the first to do it, they definitely seem to be the innovators in the market at the moment.

    Might be stating the obvious, but this allow TRIM in raid on any SSD that supports TRIM.

    The only limitation is that it's intel chipsets only.

    I wonder how long it'll take for raid card makes to release something.

    Going to TRIM my 40gb Kingstons over the weekend, will let all know how it goes.

    Decided to give it a go tonight.

    Followed this guide:

    Skipped the firmware flash and went straight to enabling trim, as the standard firmware supports it although is disabled.

    I couldn't get Hdat2 to work so had to go the linux live cd route, which seems to have worked fine, didn't corrupt any data and existing raid setup is still intact and boots into windows, then installed the new Intel drivers.

    Only issue is that I can't tell if it's really enabled, Crystaldiskinfo doesn't pick up the raid drives.

    This command: ''fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify'' is not that useful since it said =0 before I did this, other than blind faith that it's working does anyone know of any other ways to check?

    I suppose I can leave it to the test of time and if performance doesn't degrade that's good enough.
