As per the title i'ma bout to buy a PowerColor PCS+ HD5850 to gon into my new pc but i' worried it may not fit in my case (CM690) becausce of the extra heatpipes on the side.

I had the same thought when considering the 5870 PCS card in my CM Centurion Case. But I ordered it anyway and found there was masses of clearance to play with and no problems at all. The heat pipes don't stick out that much.

Easy test - open the case and have a look at the distance between the case side pannel and the top of the PCI card brackets. If more than a couple of cms you will be fine.
