I have an 80GB SSD installed in my PC now, and I received another today to RAID0 up to this one..
So I'm just wondering, is there anyway I can do this without doing a full format and reinstall? Bit of a longshot but I'd much prefer it.

I don't think so, as both IDE/ACHI need to be reconfigured for RAID - where as if you have your BIOS set to RAID anyway without RAID'ing the drives they still maintain the ACHI features and can be moved round freely without a reformat. Hope this makes sense ?

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
with on an onboard controller?
I don't think so. Perhaps a backup image, set up RAID, then restore the image might work. Especially if the RAID drivers are already included in Windows. You could use the Windows backup utility and then restore it using the installer from the DVD (assuming W7).
Never done this, but I presume it works well.
I've actually changed my mind, after seeing a couple of charts showing the performance of RAIDed SSDs..
Just gonna run them seperately. Much easier and safer .
I think you'd need a proper RAID controller to see any benefit.
Tell you what, send them to me and I'll chuck them on one of my PERC 5/i's
