Possible spec - need opinions / suggestions.

Hey, I posted a thread a while back with details of a new build but it's been a while since then and I'm looking to go ahead with this now so i've updated it. The primary use will be worked related with Photoshop getting a lot of use, may play the odd game but nothing that warrants paying extra for a high level GPU etc. Main aim is for good speeds, especially with Photoshop.

I've never built a PC, nor have I really looked at what's good and what's not before so looking for a bit of assistance. If anyone thinks i'm wasting money or not spending enough on any parts please do say, willing to spend a bit more if it'll make a noticeable difference.

My plan was also to upgrade to the new i7 980x eventually when they came down in price.

    Thanks!

I would wait until the end of next month as the Phenom II X6 will come out. This will hopefully cause the prices of the lower end Core i7 processors to drop.

Alright thanks for pointing that out, should also mention I won't be overclocking the system, or don't plan to anyway.

Don't need a 650w psu for that, something around 450-500w would be better.

Not sure on the RAM looks a bit pricey

For the case the old cm690 is fine (that's not the newer 690 II btw) however I'd consider the antec 300 instead http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Antec...r-Case-w-o-PSU

I'd also look at adding a cpu cooler, not massively outrageous
The new zalman have had some good stuff said about it http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Zalma...eme-CPU-Cooler
And if you're not pushing the overclock really high then the Hyper 212+ is very nice for the cost http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Coole...M2-AM2plus-AM3
