Need some advice on choosing a laptop!

Hi,

Basically I'm looking for a new laptop, ideally don't want to spend more than £500 but I will go over if I could get blu-ray etc (or a good deal!)

I will be using it a fair bit, so good performance is something I'm looking for (needed for both play and work), but I want to buy a good quality laptop!

So far I've read good reviews about the Acer Aspire 3810TZ, but I can see I can get a 4810TZ (larger screen & DVD Drive) for £415 on Ebuyer around £50 cheaper than the 3810

But I also like the look of this, it gets good reviews on amazon Sony VAIO EB1E0E 15.5 inch notebook. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-noteboo...ductPromotions

Anyone had any experience with either of these two?, or any other recommendations?

Acer are just releasing a new range so you might like to wait a little to get a old one cheap or a nice new one.

Here is the link about the new acer laptops. The new one is called the 1830T, on the web some think its a duo others a solo... I hope its a duo.

Get an i3/5 based one as they are out, best chance of being futureproof.
