DV6 laptop battery....what cell?

my laptop is lasting about half hour of the charger...becoming a real pain! i think its because i always leave it on standby lol either way im looking into a new battery the one i currently have is a 6cell, the one im looking at is a 12 cell, how much difference would that make? i use the laptop to game alot aswell, So basically i need to know what sort of battery i need to go for that has long life thanks!

edit: 4400mAh now - 8800mAh then.. so actually yes. it will last twice as long since it has twice the capacity

Laptop batteries capacity is rated in Watt/Hours i.e. Capacity: 55 Wh, so go with one that gives you the best capacity.

Bigger is better.

personally, id use watt hours to measure consumption rather than capacity.. but hey

Ah - Amp hours has a unit of coulombs, Q i.e charge.

Wh - Watt hours has a unit of Joules , J i.e energy.

right ok, well heres what the battery i currently have has...

10.8v 4910mah 55watt
sp im guess thats a pretty pants battery ive got now? ive looked at 2 but im unsure which one will have better battery life?

heres the first,

10.8v 8800mah 12 cells,

and this is the other one,

10.8v 10400mAh no idea how many cells,

so which one would hold a charger longer? thanks guys
