nibblers?
hi there
ive buggered the cover on my sn41g2,it was my first attempt at using a holesaw and well the hole looks abit nasty to put it mildly
my aim is to put a 60mm intake fan on the side of the case infront of the power supply nexto the 12v connector but it has now turned into a 70mm fan and i need to redesign the errrm "hole"
im now planing to make it a small square hole so the fan and the vents on the psu have access to clean air,ive heard a little about nibblers but would like to know how affective they are and where to buy and how much?
or would u reccomend that i use a jigsaw with a metal blade?
thnx

Whats wrong with a dremel?

Niblers are used for cutting sheet metal but only for basic shapes- you could not use them to cut or extend a small (less than perhaps 6")hole. and anyway you would be looking at probably £120-200. Echo previous post - your best bet would be Dremel or one of thier generic copies- about £20

Are hole-saw's not good for that kind of thing?
Ive only ever used them for wood, but they do make a clean job....

Holesaws are usually great for blowholes in metal... not sure what he did though...

i used a hand nibbler to cut out the windows in my vapochill case
tis hard work but quite neat
only cost £15
