    help with memory

just bought a shuttle sn41g2v2, AMD 2600 Xp Barton, can someone tell me the best make of memory to use and what type (333mhz or 400mhz), been looking at 2 x 512mb modules to take advantage of dual channel, but I don't want to spend a fortune.

    thanks in advance.

whatever ram you are going to buy you will have to pay over the odds for at the minute i'd recomend OCZ personally but Corsair and kingston hyperx are good memory as well
i'd recomend pc3200 400mhz ddr as the barton should even in a shuttle do 200 fsb but i stand to be corrected

If you don't want to spend a fortune and definately want 2x 512 without thinking of o/cing then try aria.co.uk. They have kingsmax 512's on special offer!

Hmm memory. I'd never spend crazy cash on memory, but you tend to get what you pay for. Get some DDR400 (3200) will work well with the Nforce 2 board, as for makes Geil is a good performer for O/C price go for mid-range level, as the budget kinda stinks, Twinmos is great for price. Never tried the Kingmax myself seems solid enough but a little slack on timings for me. The big boys are OCZ and Corsair, great memory but costly.

What Huddy said. Get 2 sticks of Twinmoss PC3200 RAM. BH5 chips at a very reasonable price.
