8 pin fan connectors

i have 5 of these on my board,does anyone know what fans connect to them as i cant find anything about them.

just says 8-pin 4096 fan connector in the manual?

I just googled "8-pin 4096 fan connector" and guess what the first result was? This post!

Is this your motherboard? In which case, the manual here only refers to having 5 4-pin fan headers... You can use any 3 or 4-pin fan on these, 3-pin for constant full power or 4-pin for PWM fans.

Are the connectors on the board 8pin or is it just a typo in the initial manual release?

Edit: The board piccy in the manual shows 4 pin fan headers

edit2: i've found the 8 pin reference now, it is referring to the ones around the edge, by my reckoning it's a dual gang header but to use them you would have to make your own cable (more info on page 19)

edit3: actually if all 8 pins are in a straight line then you could just hook any fan up, the pins are in the correct order (dependant on pin spacing/exposure ofcourse)

I've just noticed them now, the 5 small beige connectors down the right hand edge of motherboard. They look pretty strange, I'd stick to the 3/4-pin ones and run more off of the PSU if you need them!

they are on the board its not a typo. if you look on that link above there at the front of the board, if you look closely there are 5 of them in a line, two of them are by the ram slots and there white.

duno what they are for but they are there.

Maybe some proprietary connector? Don't think I've come across them before.

yup that's them,btw my system is all up and going i just wondered what the hell they were for.

As stated above, it looks as though they are propriety connectors for certain chassis. From another manual it states of the "8-Pin 4096 fan header" that "These headers are reserved for Barebone".
