Meaker is going HEX.
Well I have just placed an order at scan for one 1055T hex core CPU.
At the moment I had migrated to a MSI 890GX motherboard, 550BE and 4GB DDR3 (1333 6-6-6-20).
This was a test platform to test if I needed a black edition CPU. Well I am happy to report that the board will exceed 300Mhz HTT so I went ahead with the 1055T.
I also have an HD5850 on the way and I will likely replace my HD 5830 rather than crossfire with it, even though it clocks to 1110/1400 (1050/1350 24/7).

This thread on the overclocking the Phenom II X6 should be useful:

I know you got the HD5850 1GB for under £200 but wouldn't it have been better to get for of the cheap HD5830 cards from Aria for under £160?

Re: Meaker is going HEX.
I got it for £180 delivered, about £20 more than the 5830. I have a VF-1000 to put on it lying around and it's got software voltage control.
I decided to stick with the 5850 by itself and get a hex core CPU to have a play since the first batch are clocking so well.

GL with it, you just game or have more thread-intensive needs?
