    two soundcards?

Right well basically i have upgraded my audigy 2 ZS by getting an X-FI Fatality Xtreme gamer card, finally got this card to work after hours of crappy drivers . But basically im looking to use the audigy still, as i use TS/vent/skype alot I like to have my headset for VOIP and speakers on for everything else. I did this by using my audigy2 + onboard but with my new headset the speakers and mic cables are molded together with only a small amount of cable free from one another, i cant plug it in my onboard and onto my new card basically.

So, when running both the audigy 2 and x-fi card atleast one of them would have the error starting which is error 10. I havent found a way to get past this, if i uninstall the drivers and reinstall with both enable then i get BSOD and if i just disable one and install drivers for the X-FI and then enable the SB card it stil doesnt work.

basically, any suggestions or should i just bin the audigy card and buy a 3.5mm female-male cable?

    Re: two soundcards?

I was wondering why you hadn't just bought an extender

I would bin the Audigy, might as well use the onboard tbh - much less hassle in the long run and you won't lose anything.

    Re: two soundcards?

fair enough, my onboard is basic but have to tell yah that the Mic is shocking on the motherboard and comparing the new X-FI card to it... wow , friends can hear me crystal clear!.

Will have to find a place to order one from then.... off to ebay or amazon haha!.
